Torres, Ms. Selina
Quick Guidelines for American Literature Success….
Ms. S. Torres Room 314 smtorres@cps.edu www.wiltit.com •Sign-in whenever tardy to class •Sit in assigned seat •Check progress on Grade Book every week at a minimum •Realize that all assignments are written in detail on the RHS website •Ask for help when needed •I understand I must show up for class on time, ready to work, with my school uniform on, my agenda book, and my ID. If I do not have my uniform or ID I will be sent to 135 to get one. If I do not have my agenda book I know I will sacrifice points for that day. •I know that if I chose not to turn in an assignment, then I am choosing to receive a zero on that assignment •If I am out of class for any reason, it is MY responsibility to obtain the assignments and make them up. Class work and homework never stop because I am out of class. •The last day to turn in late, absent, or missing work for each month is the LAST school day of that month. (For example, during the month of October, the last day to hand in late, absent, or missing work for that month would be on October 31st. If the last day happens to fall on a weekend the following Monday is then the last day. After that late work for that month CANNOT be made up. There is NO exception to this rule.) •I will respect myself, others, teachers, school property, as well as different ideas. If I do not agree with someone that is OK, but I must confront the idea, not attack the other person. •I know my responsibilities as a student in my American Literature class and will act as a college bound student. •I know that I am expected to be a respectful person in my American Literature class and what that entails. •If I have questions regarding the above, I will ask Ms. Torres immediately. **************************TUTORING SHEET BELOW**************************** |
